ARTFUL | INNOVATIVE | OUTCOME-ORIENTED
Old Pals Art + Design is an Austin based art agency that curates, designs and fabricates intentional commercial art.
We exist to story tell through art, connect creatives with extraordinary opportunities and to create art-based solutions in partnership with design-focused clients who have a keen eye for the unexpected.
While we call Texas home, we are open to projects all over the country.
Art procurement + commissions
Art collection management + documentation
Art direction consulting + conceptual design
Interior + exterior murals
Installation art design + fabrication
We believe that who you work with and how you work with them is everything. That's why we strive to partner with good people, artists and clients, who become friends in the process.
We work to make pals wherever we go — the state motto of Texas is “friendship” after all.
Our ethos is fostering connections through collaboration. We feel art should be intentional, inclusive and create a compelling story for your space or brand through seamless integration.
Now let’s become old pals. Don’t be a stranger, say howdy!
Christy Beard, founder and creative director of OLD PALS Art + Design, is a multidisciplinary artist based in Austin, Texas. Christy's upbringing was a nomadic one - taking her from the mountains of Colorado to sunny oceans off the East coast before finally settling down in her current home of Texas, where she has been for the past ten years.
Her background in fine art combined with over a decade of expertise in spatial design, fabrication and installation art has shaped her into an expert art curator. She earned her degree in Fashion Merchandising + Marketing from Savannah College of Art + Design with a focus in visual merchandising, color theory and trend forecasting.
Christy’s artistic approach prioritizes play, strategic use of color and harmony between the architecture of the physical space and the fantasy land of art. She finds a passion and purpose in human-centered design, good storytelling, and art, in all its forms.
When she’s not in her business, you can find Christy porch hanging with her old dog Rye, combing estate sales for original oil paintings or taking an afternoon dip in Barton Springs.
